The Dance opened in theaters on April 6,
2007 to enthusiastic reviews. Audiences were touched by its moving
and humorous style. The Dance is a romantic comedy about
three couples in different stages of love and life who come together
on a dance floor at Harvard University. Before the music ends these
couples will unveil their humor, passions, heartache and hope in
this unapologetic glimpse into the complicated and witty reality
of human relationships.
Writer/director
McKay Daines adapted the screenplay from Carol Lynn Pearson’s
play "The Dance". It is a provocative, character-driven
film that explores relationships in a way that audiences find refreshing,
stimulating and uplifting.
Producer Michael Flynn, also a lead actor in the film, brings back
KC Clyde and Scott Christopher from his award winning and highly
successful film The Best Two Years. Clyde and Christopher
team up with Kari Hawker, Joyce Cohen, and Monique Lanier to form
a wonderful ensemble cast for this heart-warming comedy.
